Noko was born and raised in Osaka, Japan. She met her husband at Expo 70 in Osaka. They married and moved to the US. 52 years ago. She is retired and lives in Hilo Hawaii now. Noko served as a president of the Homer Downtown RC in 2007-08. She is a Paul Harris Fellow. Noko and Steve have hosted more than 15 Youth Exchange students (Rotary, Sister City) from all over the world. She is active with Rotary Fellowship and International Travel & Hosting Fellowship (ITHF). She has led tours to Japan, Korea, Canada, British Isles, Thailand and Russia. She has enjoyed attending many Rotary International Conventions, Peace Conferences and World Health Fairs.
