Club Committees

The Rotary eClub District 5000 Hawaii is a volunteer-run organization. Our hard-working committee members are the heart of our organization, driving most of the activity of our Club. We simply could not accomplish all we do without the generosity of our members, who celebrate the spirit of Rotary and service to others by enthusiastically giving their time, talent and treasure.

Committee activities and responsibilities are listed below. As a Club member, your participation is key to the success and vitality of our Club, plus serving on a committee is the perfect way to get to know your fellow members! Contact our Club Secretary for information on how to join and get started!

Club Sponsored Service Projects are why we exist. Our Club was formed by the inspiration of Rotary International President 2013-2014, Sakuji Tanaka’s theme of “Peace Through Service” and every member of our Club has a passion for service, in specific, service projects that promote peace.

Projects that are sponsored by our Club are actively promoted by, discussed, shared and donated to by our members. They are featured on our website and are the topic of presentations by our members.

To be eligible to become a Club Sponsored Project, we have established a review process. This committee is responsible for:

 Researching & reviewing potential club projects
 Ensuring each project offers a variety of ways for club members to participate, including time, talent & treasure
 Working with the Marketing Committee to create a feature page on the website for the project
 Working with the Marketing Committee to promote the project beyond the Club
 Working with the Speakers Committee to schedule a presentation on the project by one of our members
 Completing grant applications as needed
 Working with the Club Administration Committee to ensure records are kept in the Club’s DropBox file system
