Requesting help for constructing of water tank and pipe lines to connect from the pond for students at Kywede Basic Education State High School.

For the purpose of getting water(drinking, washing and using the toilet) to the school, students currently have to carry water from the collecting ponds everyday and haul it to the school.  This is not only exhausting, but it takes up precious time that they could use for studying. To ease these extra work, it would be very beneficial to have water tank, connecting with pipes (2,600 feet long) from pond and fill that tank which is 19′.6″ x 19′.6″ x 8′.

The Mayanmar government does not support education.  The villagers themselves have build the school to educate the 767 children in the area.

This is a collaborative project: a Taiwan Rotary Club (D3840, Taipei) are project partners and will fund the cost of materials for additional classrooms.  WE Rotary members will place orders for the water pipe and supervise construction.  A team of WE Rotarians will travel to the school in December 2014 to make a final inspection and report.

The estimated cost of connecting pipes and building water tank is only $7,200 US dollars. This project cannot proceed until it is fully funded, thus financial donations are appreciated.

We encourage members to contribute small things, like pins, postcards, caps from where they are from before Dec 1, 2014. If you have supplies to contribute, please contact: Steve Yoshida  @ steveyoshida@gmail.com.   These children have never seen the outside world.  We hope to not only fund this project, but bring them a little piece of the world around them as well.

(All donations will go directly to building the water line)
